For parents and guardians
Paying for Corvano, and stopping it.
Corvano is daily SAT and ACT practice for students 13 and older. A student can ask a parent or guardian to pay for Corvano Plus. Here is how that works, how to cancel, and what to do about a charge you don’t recognize.
I see a Corvano charge
- Ask the students in your household first. A student may have sent you a link from Corvano’s “Ask a parent to pay”. The receipt from Stripe, our payment processor, shows the plan, the amount and the date.
- To stop it, follow Canceling below. You don’t need the student’s password.
- If nobody in your household signed up, contact us right away at support@corvano.app. Send it from the email address the receipt went to, include the date and amount, and we’ll look into it and cancel anything that shouldn’t be running.
Paying for your student
How it works
In Corvano, your student picks a plan and taps “Ask a parent to pay”, then sends you a private link. The page it opens shows the plan, the price and exactly how it renews or ends, and nothing about your student. You tick a box to confirm you’re their parent or guardian and that you agree to our Terms of Service, then pay on Stripe’s secure checkout. Plus turns on for your student, and Stripe emails the receipt to you. Each link works once and stops working after a few days.
Two kinds of plan
- Plus, monthly or yearly. Renews automatically at the price shown until it’s canceled.
- Plus until test day. One payment that covers Plus until shortly after your student’s SAT or ACT (the exact end date is shown before you pay and at checkout). It never renews, so there is nothing to cancel. If you’d rather not have a subscription, ask your student for this one; it’s offered when their test date is coming up.
Prices are on the pricing page and on the payment page before you pay.
What your student sees
The plan belongs to your student’s account. Under Account, then Manage billing, they can see the plan, the next charge, past receipts, the email the receipts go to, and the card’s brand and last four digits. They can cancel there or change the card. Corvano never sees or stores the full card number.
Canceling
- Your student can cancel in Corvano: Account, then Manage billing, then cancel the plan.
- You can cancel without their login: email support@corvano.app from the email address the receipt went to and ask us to cancel your student’s Corvano Plus. We’ll cancel it and email you to confirm.
- After canceling, Plus stays on until the end of the period already paid for. Then the account moves to the free plan, and your student keeps their sets, progress and history.
- Deleting your student’s account (at the bottom of their Account page) cancels the plan straight away; the rest of the period isn’t refunded.
- Plus until test day has nothing to cancel. It ends on its own on the date shown when you paid.
Refunds
From our Terms of Service:
Payments are non-refundable, and we don’t give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time or unused features, except where the law requires otherwise. If you live in a place whose law gives you a right to cancel a purchase and get your money back (for example, a 14-day right of withdrawal in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), email us and we’ll honor it as that law requires.
The full text is in the Terms. For a charge nobody in your household made, see I see a Corvano charge: contact us right away.
